We couldn't find anything about car camping in the park on any website or guide book. Still we rented a car in Puerto Natales and drove on the very bumpy road to the park. We had no problem finding camping sites anywhere and this was in January. Camp Lago Pehoe had tent shelters and excellent showers. Camp Las Torres had no shelters but is the closest to the hike to the towers. The Toyota Yaris made it but if we had to do it again we would rent a 4x4. And the glacier hike was well worth the money.

I visited your NP 6 month ago and enjoyed it very much.
I'm back in my University now and I'm doing a research on popular treks around the world. I was wondering if you can help me with my research. I need to now how many people hike the W or the Circuit each year. If you got any other statistic about your NP like: How many enter a year? How many people stay the night in the refuge? Etc'... Thank you very much Maoz Inon Israel

Great experience, terrific vistas, glacier was out of this world, the animals were truly very interesting to observe. It was experience that I will cherish for many years to come. I have recommended this experience to number of people. Terrific!!

I went to Torres del Paine for the first time in 1992, traveling the 3665 kilometers that separate them from Santiago by car. Although we saw many beautiful places on our way down and back, in both cases the Park became the absolute highlight of our trip! The reason for its lasting enchantment probably is the sense of immensity, of still being untouched (despite developing infrastructure), of really being at the end of the world, that fills you upon entering. The Park is a collection of luminosity, wind, a variety of wildlife and contrasting landscapes - all of which truly makes you believe that there is a God. If you love nature, Torres del Paine deserves to be what Mecca is to Muslims: you should visit it at least once in your life.

In spite of having heard about the Torres del Paine before my trip and of my fear of being disillusioned after such great expectations, I went to Patagonia on holiday and returned a changed person. Overwhelmed by the forces of nature and it boundless beauty, amazed by the richness of its animal life and by the way in which man has established an intimate relationship, full of respect, with its marvelous fauna, impressed by the quality and variety of the services for all kinds of travelers, it is a place of which there are few left on this planet.
